Half Day

Visit South Gate and Bayon Temple and Angkor Wat: The south gate of Angkor Thom is the best preserved. It is approached from outside via a causeway that extends about fifty meters across a moat. On each side of the causeway are railings fashioned with 54 stone figures engaged in the performance of a famous Hindu story.

Bayon or state temple of Jayavarman VII is one of the most enigmatic and power religious constructions in the world. It is a unique mass of “faces tower” which create a stone-mountain of ascending peaks. There were originally 49 towers of which 37are still standing today. Most are carved with four faces on each cardinal point. The central tower has many more.

Angkor Wat, built between the 9th and 14th centuries, the City of Angkor is one of the grandest monuments ever constructed. The entire complex covers approximately
164sq miles with over 200 temples. Among the 30 temple that are accessible today, the most famous is Angkor Wat, the largest religions building in the world, with a volume of stone equaling that of the Cheops pyramid in Egypt.
Conceived by Suryavarman II early 12th century, Angkor Wat took an estimated 30 years to build. Unlike most other Khmer temples, it faces west; the most likely reason is because the temple was dedicated to Vishnu, who is sometimes associated with the west.

Take in stories of war, relationships, and discrimination, inspired by the real-life experiences of Phare’s creators and performers.

Night Market Visit

A neighbourhood unto itself, Siem Reap’s night market is lively with shoppers exploring more than 240 hut shops selling souvenirs, artwork, and clothing. Opt for a Dr. Fish massage—small fish nibbling dead skin off your feet—or a visit to the tropical Brick House Bar.

Artisans d'Angkor

Artisans Angkor is a Cambodian social business which was originally created to revive Khmer cultural heritage while helping young rural people finding work near their home village.Since its creation at the end of 1990s, Artisans Angkor has strived to provide professional skills to communities with limited educational opportunities and has offered good working conditions and social advantages to its employees. It has now opened 48 workshops in Siem Reap province and it provides employment to over 1100 people, including more than 800 artisans.Over the years, Artisans Angkor has become a real showcase of Khmer workmanship for its silk fabrics and garments, stone and wood carving, lacquer ware, polychrome products, silver plating and silk painting

Traditional Performances

No visit to Cambodia is complete without attending at least one performance. Traditional Khmer dance is better described as 'dance drama' in that the dances are not merely dance but are also meant to convey a story or message. And Apsara Dancing Show is the most popular performance for most tourists. Some restaurants in Siem Reap town offer the Apsara Show included buffet (serve all kinds of Khmer and Asian food). This performance provided include with Asean & Western dinner.
